December 25th is not a National holiday in Japan. I was wondering what could be the reason:
A . Christians are in minority in Japan,as they hardly account to 2%.
B. Japanese are not religious fanatics.

One thing that really surprised me was, that religion (moral code of conduct) is not taught in anyof the schools in Japan, but still they are the most disciplined in the whole world. Answering such very japanese cultural-enigmas is a book, "Bushido : The soul of Japan " writted by Inazo Nitobe( first published 1905).

Flipping through the books in a book shop, I came across a 10 Year Diary 2005-2014. Each day of the year is horizontally tiled so that one can have "This day in history" kind of a feel.
